The inn started life as a farm and was first licensed in 1869. With the Yorkshire stone flagged floors, open fires and exposed beams, it still retains its traditional feel. All the beef and lamb used is sourced from the Yorkshire Dales, most from the Washburn Valley, and full use is made of the blackboards as the menus change daily.
